South Coast to feature Iran’s ‘The Hands’

Iran’s ‘The Hands’ is to be screened at the South Coast Film Festival of the UK.

Iranian short title ‘The Hands’ has been set to be screened at the South Coast Film Festival of the UK.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that Parviz Rajaee’s film will be screened at the event this summer.

‘The Hands’ is about determinism and free will.

“Some are in stillness to be formed by a hand, and others try to form,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘The Hands’ won the best short film award at the winter season (January-March) of the World Premiere Film Awards in the US.

It will also participate at the upcoming edition of the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival of Slovakia.

The South Coast Film Festival is an annual Independent film festival.

It aims to “help create a platform for our filmmakers to be seen, but more importantly, get them the industry exposure to help sustain their craft for many years to come”, the event’s website reads.

The first edition of the festival will take place on August 15-16, 2020.
